The story
I had mentioned this route to Félix last winter as a project for the summer. In recent months, every time I looked at the Combin massif I thought about it. With our diaries and the conditions finally seeming to align, we set off on this famous traverse I had dreamed of so much.
And this route was love at first sight! Thank you, Félix, for this memorable day, for this major route successfully completed, and for the solid, reliable rope team we formed.
Of all my mountain routes so far, I think this is the one that has given me the most beautiful panoramas. What infinite beauty, what a marvel to be able to gaze over the whole Alpine arc, draped in its autumn colours and delicately clothed in a veil of fresh snow.
